On 1st September 2016 on Westerplatte a unique cultural event took place – Independence Concert: Westerplatte Edition.

Today, on this symbolic day, a unique exhibit has arrived at the Museum – the Polish national emblem with a crowned eagle. This emblem is identical with the one that hang on the gate of Polish garrison barracks at Westerplatte. Emblems such as this one were placed on state office buildings and state institutions in pre-war Poland.

We published three revievs of the Museum’s main exhibition written on order from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and a reply of Museum's menagment.
The International Auschwitz Council under the Prime Minister of Poland, during the last meeting on 24-25 May 2016, addopted a resolution about the Museum of the Second World War:
The results of the 2015 ‘Sybilla’ Competition for the Museum Event of the Year were announced on 23 May 2016 at the Grand Theatre — National Opera.
Within the framework of the European Night of Museums the Museum of the Second World War once again invited visitors to Westerplatte, where it prepared a range of attractions in two educational zones on the peninsula. More photos from the event in the gallery.
