Parking

The visitors' car park is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.

On the premises of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk, there is an underground car park with an entrance from Wałowa Street. We have prepared 142 parking spaces for visitors, located on two levels. There are public parking spaces in the vicinity of the building. The nearest parking lot for coaches is at Długie Ogrody Street, and passengers can leave the vehicle in a specially prepared parking bay located right next to the Museum building (along Stara Stocznia Street).

Payment for parking:

•    Museum visitors can park with an admission ticket to the main exhibition - free parking for 3 hours (included in the ticket price) but only during the museum's opening hours for visitors. Each subsequent hour costs 5 Polish Zloty, on days free of admission to the museum (Tuesdays), each hour costs 5 Polish Zloty.

ATTENTION! Before leaving the building, it is necessary to present the parking ticket along with the admission ticket to the Information Point on level -1 in order to calculate the cost. 

  • library visitors - free parking for 2 hours, each subsequent hour costs 5 Polish Zloty,
  • museum visitors – parking costs 7 Polish Zloty for each started hour,
  • other people from Tuesday to Sunday -  parking costs 7 Polish Zloty for each started hour.

Fine for a lost ticket or an uncollected ticket – 150 Polish Zloty

RULES FOR UNDERGROUND PARKING AT THE MUSEUM OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR IN GDANSK

1. The car park is an integral part of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk and is a paid, unguarded car park.

2. The Museum of the Second World War is not responsible for the loss or damage of any vehicles in the parking lot, and is not responsible for any items left in vehicles.

3. The car park is open daily from 10:00-20:00 except for the parking of vehicles belonging to hotel guests (parking available 24 hours a day) and for restaurant guests (parking open until 23.30).

4. It is strictly forbidden for vehicles carrying hazardous materials to enter the car park, in particular flammable, corrosive, explosive materials and those equipped with a gas installation.

5. The provisions of the Road Traffic Act (Journal of Laws 2005, No. 108, item 908), as amended, and a maximum speed of 10 kph, applies to the car park, access roads and internal roads.

6. While parking, the driver is obliged to pay special attention to neighboring vehicles.

7. It is forbidden to park the vehicle:

  •  on access roads and roads joining traffic,
  • in separated and marked places, except for authorized vehicles,
  • in places where parking a car may pose a threat to the movement of vehicles, people or property.

8. It is forbidden to repair, wash, vacuum the car, change coolants, fuel or oil in the car park, as well as pollute the car park.

9. Payment for parking:

  • museum visitors with an admission ticket, free parking for 3 hours (included in the ticket price) only during museum opening hours for visitors, each subsequent hour costs 5 Polish Zloty. On days free of admission to the museum (Tuesdays), each started hour costs 5 Polish Zloty,
  • hotel guests - free parking,
  • restaurant guests - each started hour 5 Polish Zloty,
  • library visitors - free parking for 2 hours, each subsequent hour costs 5 Polish Zloty,
  • museum visitors - parking costs 7 Polish Zloty for each started hour,
  • authorized museum employees - free of charge during working hours,
  • cooperators, employees of catering establishments, shop, hotel service, etc. - paid parking, excluding authorized persons and excluding deliveries,
  • other people from Tuesday to Sunday - parking costs 7 Polish Zloty for each started hour.

10. Other fees:

  • Fine for a lost ticket or a ticket not collected – 150 Polish Zloty
  • Fine for incorrect use of the car park - e.g. parking in two places, taking a space for disabled people without authorization – 100 Polish Zloty 
  • Fee for leaving the vehicle after closing - 150 Polish Zloty / day
  • Fee for removing the vehicle from the parking lot – 400 Polish Zloty

11. Obtaining a ticket:

Before entering the car park, users should collect a ticket from the parking machine. Discounts are calculated at the INFORMATION POINT on level -1 at the main entrance.

  •  A parking fee is payable at the payment machine in the underground car park.
  • After paying the parking fee, the vehicle should leave the parking lot within 15 minutes, otherwise it will be charged for each hour of parking that has started.

12. The vehicle user is responsible for any damage caused to the Museum and third parties in the car park.

13. Delegated employees of the Museum are authorized to uphold the regulations in the car park.

14. The Museum is not responsible for the theft or destruction of cars left in the car park.

15. The Regulations are valid from March 21st, 2017.
