MORE ARCHEOLOGICAL DISCOVERIES ON WESTERPLATTE
We are pleased to invite you to a book promotion event of the latest book published by Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk – “The Arithmetic of War: WWII Battles in 15 Infographics”. The event will take place on Tuesday, 11 October 2022, at 5.00 pm at museum’s cinema room (level - 3).  
The Polish defenders of the Military Transit Depot in Westerplatte who were killed.  Rifleman Mieczysław Krzak.
The contract for the modernization of the former power plant building along with land development on plots no. 3/5, 68 and 25/2 on Westerplatte has been signed.
The 9th stage of the archaeological work being carried out on Westerplatte, which began in the first days of June this year, has just reached its halfway point.

The Museum of the Second World War hosted another meeting in its 'Entering History' series. This time, exhibits related to Second Lieutenant Maria Orlicz were presented.  
On July 21st this year, Ph.D. Hab. Grzegorz Berendt was appointed by Prof. Piotr Gliński, vice-president of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, as Director of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk for a 7-year term.  
On September 22nd this year at the Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek, the gala of the 41st Competition for the Museum Event of the Year Sybilla 2020 was held.
