74th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

The start of the Warsaw Uprising was scheduled for „W-hour” – 5:00 p.m. on August 1st, 1944. 

Although most of the insurgents had no weapons, Warsaw stood up in the fight for a free Poland.

16:50 – Remembrance Appeal, Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk’s main square

21:00 – outdoor screening of Miasto 44 (dir. Jan Komasa) as part of Summer Outdoor Cinema, Museum of the WWII in Gdańsk’s main square

Admission free

Event organized by the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk

This project is part of the commemoration of the centennial of the regaining of independence.
