Sitting of the Advisory Board
2 September saw a sitting of the Advisory Board of the Museum of the Second World War, during which its members were informed about the progress in the construction of the Museum and in the execution of the exhibition. A considerable proportion of the meeting was devoted to a discussion on the concept of the audio guides as well as the scientific activity and projects, which were presented by the Research Department director, Dr Rafał Wnuk.
Moreover, the Advisory Board members saw the Museum’s temporary exhibition‘‘45. End of the war in 45 artefacts” which opened in May, and visited the Museum construction site on Wałowa Street.
The Advisory Board of the Museum of the Second World War is composed of eminent historians from Poland, Germany, Great Britain, France, Russia, the United States, and Israel. The chairman of the Advisory Board is Professor Norman Davies. In 2015 the Advisory Board welcomed two new members: Professor Anna Wolff-Powęska and Professor Élie Barnavi.
