Thanks to the Museum Youth Advisory Board, young people will be able to have an impact on the shape and development of our institution. The project to create a youth advisory board is aimed at directly reaching out to a young audience. Advisory board members will have the opportunity to actively participate in events organized by the Museum of the Second World War and to submit motions and opinions regarding the current activities of the institution.
The Museum Youth Advisory Board consists of 14 board members - 7 people selected from among students and volunteers already cooperating with the Museum, and 7 more young people selected through open competition. The term of office of the Youth Advisory Board is 4 years, counted from the date of the first board meeting. Further recruitment to the Museum Advisory Board will take place in 2024 by way of open competition. Every 2 years, the elections of 1/2 of the Council members are to be held. During the first term of office, the board members selected from among students and volunteers cooperating with the Museum will finish their work after two years (2022).
The Statute defines the principles of operation, purpose, and tasks of the Youth Board of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk.
