Meeting with partners from Liberation Route Europe
The Directorate of the Museum of the Second World War on December 12 and 13 met with representatives of Liberation Route Europe. Matters of further cooperation were discussed and the Museum's main exhibition was presented to the guests.
Liberation Route Europe is an international historical and tourist project, co-created by the Museum of the Second World War and partners from the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Italy and Germany.
The idea of the project is to gather and collect in a single place information about events related to World War II in Europe and its ending, and to show the often different experiences of the inhabitants of the affected countries. By promoting the common historical and cultural heritage, the project also aims to support international tourism and promote the cities and regions participating in it.
As part of the Liberation Route Europe project, a website and a mobile application were created, which are available in the languages of all project partners. Both the website and the application allow users to quickly access information about important events, places and characters related to the course and end of World War II in Europe and its consequences. Apart from historical content, the LRE website also contains information useful for tourists, for whom it serves as a guide.
The Liberation Route Europe project is co-financed with European Union funds. Below is the website address: Liberation Route Europe.
