Awards for the films of the Museum of the Second World War

Three films produced by the Museum of the Second World War have been awarded by the international and national jury of the 15th edition of the FilmAT Festival. Our productions were recognized as the best ones in the “documentaries & TV reports” and “tourism communication” categories.

The FilmAT Festival is a Polish member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals – CIFFT (Comité International des Festivals du Film Touristique) with its seat based in Vienna.

The aim of the festival is to present the latest trends in the area of documentary films, TV reports, tourism communication, corporate and institutional films and to assess their audiovisual production depending on their artistic level and their potential to influence a given target group. The Festival itself supports the development of domestic and foreign productions and organizes a separate film competition for films made both in Poland and around the world.

 

It is with great pleasure that we may inform you that by the decision of the international and national jury led by Zbigniew Żmudzki, three productions of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk have received the following awards:

 

  • “Dzieci sowieckich deportacji” [Children of Soviet Deportations] – international competition; main category: documentaries & TV reports; 1st prize in the category: history & heritage (up to 30 minutes)

 

 

  • “Powrót do Janowej Doliny” [Return to Janowa Dolina] – national competition; main category: documentaries & TV reports; 1st prize in the category: history & heritage

 

 

  • “Kultura wielu wymiarów” [Culture of Many Destinations] – national competition; main category: tourism communication; 1st prize in the category: tourism product – cultural attractions
