Visit of the German minister to the Museum of the Second World War

On Monday, October 14th, the Museum of the Second World War was visited by the German Minister of State Carsten Schneider, Federal Government Commissioner for Eastern Germany, along with his delegation from the Federal Chancellery. The guests were guided through the permanent exhibition by Dr. Jan Szkudliński, Head of the Research Department at the Museum of the Second World War. 

Minister Schneider showed great interest in the exhibition, emphasizing its unique approach, which highlights the perspective of countries that experienced both German and Soviet occupation. He stressed that this perspective is particularly valuable and should attract a large number of visitors also from Germany.

The Minister also expressed his appreciation for the comprehensive portrayal of the war's history on the main exhibition, which helps to understand the distinct experiences of Central Europe during World War II. He highlighted that the experience of countries subjected to two totalitarian regimes provides a unique and valuable point of view, distinguishing Central Europe from what is often referred to as "Old Europe."
