MuseumWWII’s employees presented groundbreaking educational and historical digital projects that were implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. Owing to up-to-date solutions, valuable historical content was delivered to various groups of recipients, including children and adolescents - which is the Museum's response to current trends in contemporary education and to the limitations that cultural institutions face during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Through  innovative use of technology, the digital content by MuseumWWII encourages exploration of history, reaching out to different age groups, users with different sensitivity and levels of historical knowledge. The wide spectrum of recipients from various backgrounds creates the need for new forms of communication tailored to the sensitivity of these recipients and for forms of communication tailored to the sensitivity of recipients of contemporary culture. The goal of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk is to convey historical knowledge in an accessible manner while preserving its high historical value - this has been achieved through the innovative use of modern technology - said Deputy Head of the Department of Research and Education Karol Polejowski, PhD.

During the webinar, the participants discussed, among other things, whether historical documentary features presented on various streaming platforms are characterized by historical accuracy, and whether virtual popular history projects have real scientific and educational value.
