Inauguration session of the Museum of the Second World War Youth Council
Museum of the Second World War Youth Council is a body that will fulfil a consultancy function for our institution. One of the goals of the project is to disseminate knowledge of history among youths and to promote participation in culture and public life.
Due to the prevailing epidemiological situation, the meeting was held in the form of a video-conference. During the session, Council Members talked about themselves and their interests. They also mentioned why they decided to run for the Museum Youth Council and presented ideas for their first term.
One important part of the meeting was the swear-in of Council Members and the vote to select the MYC President - Mikołaj Sobański-Jóźwiak was elected by absolute majority.
- It is a great honour, but also a great challenge. I have some experience in social, organisational, and marketing activities. I know I can do a good job as President. As I said during the session, I will try to promote the Council and its activities during this first term in office through the effectiveness of our initiatives - the newly elected MYC President said shortly after the vote.
The video-conference was concluded by meeting with Councilman Piotr Mazurek, Undersecretary of State with the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland and Government Plenipotentiary for youth policies.
