Discover the World War II Museum and the Westerplatte Museum
The Westerplatte Museum – a branch of the Museum of the Second World War, a symbolic site marking the outbreak of World War II – has an extremely interesting history. Over the years, the peninsula and its purpose have undergone numerous transformations. The area has served not only military functions, most notably during the operation of the Military Transit Depot, but also recreational ones. Today, Westerplatte is undergoing changes related to the development of an open-air museum.
In recent years, it has gained recognition of audiences in Tricity and beyond, presenting ambitious contemporary film and cinema classics. Special events include film meetings with actors, directors, historians and film experts.
