What will you gain?
You will learn about the Main Exhibition at the Museum of the Second World War and how we curate exhibitions. You will also learn about narrative exhibitions. You will become familiar with fields such as history, art history and museology, and gain some experience in the Collections Department, which cares for over 60,000 objects. You will learn how to prepare museum documentation, handle exhibits and properly secure collections. You will also gain knowledge in determining provenance, recognising objects related to World War II and methods of acquiring exhibits, preparing documentation, preliminary processing of exhibits and labelling objects.
What we require: general knowledge of the history of World War II and an interest in topics related to this field, a willingness to learn about the institution and English knowledge.
The following are welcome: studies in history, art history, archaeology, German language or cultural heritage protection.
