HAMNET

Jessie Buckley (The Daughter) and Paul Mescal (Aftersun, Gladiator II) star in a story that sensitively and masterfully reveals the complexities of love and the healing power of art.

England, 1580. A poor Latin teacher, William Shakespeare, meets the extraordinary, independent Agnes. From the first moment, they are enchanted, and the passion that erupts between them leads to marriage and the birth of three children, including a son, Hamnet. However, when Will pursues his theatrical vocation in distant London, Agnes bears the burden of domestic life alone. When fate strikes with all its brutality, the bond that had previously seemed unshakable is painfully tested. Their shared experience, however, will prove to be the seed for the birth of Shakespeare's timeless masterpiece – Hamlet.
