On 20 April 2013 Museum organized a historical happening which referred to sabotage and black propaganda activities carried out by the Polish resistance against Nazi German occupation forces during the Second World War.

On 24 June an official presentation of the Liberation Route Europe project took place on Plac Inwalidów in Warsaw, at the Monument of the Polish 1st Armoured Division.

The inauguration of the open day at the construction site of the Museum of the Second World War on the 1st of the September 2015 was attended by: Minister of Culture and National Heritage Małgorzata Omilanowska, Head of the Prime Ministerial Chancellery Jacek Cichocki, and Gdańsk Mayor Paweł Adamowicz.

29 November 2013 saw a sitting of the Advisory Board of the Museum of the Second World War. The Advisory Board of the Museum of the Second World War is composed of eminent historians from Poland and abroad. The chairman of the Advisory Board is Professor Norman Davies.

On 31 August and 1 September 2013 the Museum of the Second World War together with the Invenire-Salvum Foundation and historical re-enactment groups prepared a special educational programme on Westerplatte.

On 19 September 2014, Director of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk Prof. dr hab. Paweł Machcewicz and Director of the National Museum in Szczecin Lech Karwowski, opened the temporary exhibition “So it is war then…! The Experiences of civilians in 1939”.

On 7 June 2013 Museum organized another classes on Westerplatte Peninsula as a part of the "Westerplatte - find a key to its history" educational games. Second and third-grade primary school pupils took part in the games.
