PROF. GRZEGORZ BERENDT IS THE EDITOR OF THE PERIODIC "POLISH-JEWISH STUDIES"
The first issue of the scientific journal “Polish-Jewish Studies” edited by the Institute of National Remembrance has been published. Chief Editor of this annual is Deputy Director of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk, Prof. Grzegorz Berendt. The new periodical was presented at a press conference held on 21 January this year at the Janusz Kurtyka's Educational Center of the Institute of National Remembrance "History Stop" in Warsaw.
"Polish-Jewish Studies" is a Polish-English annual journal, which includes scientific articles on Polish-Jewish relations and on the fate of the Jewish community in Poland in the 20th century. The first issue focuses on the subject of Polish-Jewish relations during the Second World War.
The conference presenting the new journal was attended by editorial members: Deputy President of the Institute of National Remembrance, Ph.D. Mateusz Szpytma, Chief Editor of "Polish-Jewish Studies" Prof. Grzegorz Berendt, and Deputy Chief Editor, Ph.D. Tomasz Domański.
“Thanks to the Institute of National Remembrance we provide a new means of presenting knowledge about the past. And this is how we see our magazine - as an international platform for knowledge exchange and discussion about the history of Polish Jews and Polish-Jewish relations” Prof. Grzegorz Berendt, Deputy Director of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk said.
