The opening of the poster exhibition "Captain Pilecki - Unconquerable Hero. Auschwitz Report"

The official opening of the poster exhibition "Captain Pilecki - Unconquerable Hero.Auschwitz Report" was performed by the Director of the Museum of the Second World War Dr. Karol Nawrocki and the President of the GDZIE Foundation, Weronika Wierzchowska.

Over 150 posters from Poland, Canada, Ecuador, Ukraine, Germany and Japan entered the international competition. The jury chose five finalists whose works will be presented at the exhibition along with 14 selected posters.
As part of the event, a discussion took place, including the great-grandson of Captain Witold Pilecki, Krzysztof Kosior. The book "Witold's Report", published under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, was presented. The author of these shocking notes from the concentration camp is Captain Pilecki, who voluntarily got himself sent to the Auschwitz extermination camp. The English version of "Witold's Report" is published thanks to funding from the Museum of the Second World War.

During the meeting, the documentary film "Daddy" was shown, in which Zofia Pilecka-Optułowicz talks about her father.
